Dancing is my way of talking to space. I can break into a move right while doing the dishes, and then the spoons start clinking along. My cat has long stopped being surprised and just leaves the room, but I know - she's applauding mentally. Though in public, my moves are often mistaken for a nervous tic - but that's only because people can't hear the music playing in my head

The piano is my main conversation with the world. I sit down at the keys, and my fingers start telling stories I can't put into words. Though sometimes they get too emotional, and I accidentally hit a chord that makes the neighbour's dog howl - but I call that a musical experiment. Also, I always lose my sheet music, so I play by ear and often add my own "signature" notes that aren't in the original

I'm the one with never a quiet moment in my head. Instead of thoughts - rhythm, instead of words - melody. If I seem lost in thought, I'm actually playing an improvised jazz étude in my mind. And yes, I often move to the beat even when I'm queueing for bread - the cashiers are used to it by now

Singing is my second nature. I sing everywhere: in the shower, in the kitchen, behind the wheel, even while brushing my teeth (the result isn't very clean, but very soulful). My neighbours have already memorised all the parts from my favourite musicals and sometimes sing along through the wall. We've never met, but we already have our own duet
